2019 REGISTRATION

Application letter for A Wild Studio 2019 may be submitted via email to zachariasl@brandonu.ca by April 5th, 2019. 750 word max. Please introduce yourself to us: your background in performance or creation, your post-secondary studies thus far, and what interests you about A Wild Studio. We look forward to hearing from you!

Option 1 - Workshop May 12-18:  $ 400  

Option 2 - UofR Course Credit: $500+tuition

2017 registration details:

A Wild Studio 2017 is open to emerging artists and students (18 and up) interested in art, music, performance, architecture and environment.

There are two methods for taking part in the project. Participants may attend from May 5-12 to the presenter series on-site in Grasslands National Park, or they may choose to take University course credit available through the University of Regina, Faculty of Media+Art+Performance. This option includes an extended teaching component in Regina, SK on May 11-19 and additional tuition fees. Students outside of the University of Regina are welcome to take the course, and should discuss the credit transfer options with their supervisors or Department heads at their home institutions. 

The $200.00 fee contributes towards accommodation, food, park access, specialized equipment, some transportation and logistics coverage and programming from May 5-12.

The course commences with a presentation by Shirley Bartz, biologist and environmentalist in Regina at 11am on May 5. We will then drive west to Grasslands National Park where the remaining of the presentations will take place. Our home-base and accommodation in the park will be in 'oTENTiks'  in the Frenchman Valley Campground situated in the centre of West Block of Grasslands National Park, southwest of Regina.

This course includes moderate physical activity, including hiking and walking, and significant outdoor exposure. A material and equipment list will be sent to all participants upon registration.

Option 2 - UofR Course Credit May 5-19: $500+tuition. Please register through the University of Regina website.

Global Exploration in Creative Technologies - 21172 - CTCH 200AF

A $ 350.00 deposit, payable in RC 269, is required by April 20 to reserve your place on the course. This is a 3.0 undergraduate credit course. Graduate students wishing to take part in the course please contact Megan Smith directly.

Participants may attend from May 3-6, 2016 to the presenter series on-site in Riding Mountain, or they may choose to take University course credit available through the University of Regina, Faculty of Media+Art+Performance. This option includes an extended teaching component in Regina, SK on May 7, 10-13 and additional tuition fees. Students outside of the University of Regina are welcome to take the course, and should discuss the credit transfer options with their supervisors or Department heads at their home institutions.

The course commences with a presentation by Natalia Lebedinskaia, Curator of Contemporary Art, Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba, in Brandon at 10:30am on May 3. We will then drive up to Wasagaming, Riding Mountain National Park where the remaining of the presentations will take place. Our home-base and accommodation in the park will be at the Lakehouse hotel, perfectly situated in the centre of the Wasagaming townsite and directly across the street from the Riding Mountain National park head office and visitor centre.
